Pocket God

6/10 stars:  Meh.  Okay.  Fine.  Getting there.  Needs work, but it's on the right track.

Review: Pocket God may not be the game that you think that it would be judging by the name and pictures you've seen.  That's why we're here to explain it to you.  In Pocket God, there are 6 "pygmies" or "islanders" that you can give a customary name.  There are five islands that you can go to, each including little mini-games.  There are many ways to destroy your pygmies just for fun, as well.  I've enjoyed this game with each new update, but it's become repetitive.  It can be, however, entertaining to watch your little pygmies dance, make fires, sleep, and stare at the sunset.  Overall, this is NOT worth the one dollar.  WASTE OF TIME!

 Pros:

  • Cute little pygmies that you can also destroy
  • Give customary names (name one as your best friend, or your worst enemy!)
  • Lots of things to discover

Cons:

  • Gameplay becomes EXTREMELY boring between long intervals of updates
  • Not as much control over everything that goes on as you would hope
  • Many things that you can do as the ruler are pointless
