Will Cut the Rope be the new king of the App Store?

If you have checked the Top 25 Paid Apps in the App Store in the past couple of days, you will see that the new app, Cut the Rope, has rocketed right up to #1 on the charts.

When we saw this, we became very interested. Could Cut the Rope be the new Angry Birds? Lets find out with an overall comparison:

Angry Birds:

Levels are more difficult as you go further on
Fun to watch (destroying large towers)
Less interactivity
Good amount of levels
Side-Challenges (golden eggs)

Cut the Rope:

Levels are relatively too easy
Not as much destruction (not much fun to watch)
More interactivity
Not many levels (at the moment)
No side challenges

Both:

Fun environment
Game Center
Retina Display graphics

Overall, after studying this information, I would say that Angry Birds will remain the King of the App Store. It's just too good and too classic to be thrown down by a game like Cut the Rope. I think that Cut the Rope is living it's glory as #1 for maybe a couple of more days before it goes back down to #10 or something. I do, however, think that it will stay in the Top 25 for the next while.

My guess is that it will be like another Doodle Jump: not #1, but not #50. Just in between, and usually in the Top 10.

But maybe I'm wrong! Maybe Cut the Rope WILL take over Angry Birds in the App Store.
